What are YOUR hopes for the future of public education in Alberta?
Alberta’s students need you at the table—literally.
Here’s what we want to know: What are your hopes for Alberta’s children and our public schools so that they can thrive now—and into the future?
During this time of rapid change, we’re seeking your help to generate aspirational new ideas, approaches, and solutions for the future of public education in this province. Our ultimate goal is to advance and promote a hopeful vision for Alberta’s public education system.
That’s why we’re hosting four (4) in-person roundtable discussions over the next few months—and your participation is essential.
Cities and Dates:
Edmonton: December 1st, 2022
Calgary: December 6th, 2022
Grande Prairie: January 19th, 2023
Medicine Hat: January 26th, 2023

This is a critical opportunity to discuss the challenges that students face while determining pathways of support moving forward. From there, we will develop and distribute our research to politicians, decision makers, and stakeholders.
If you are unable to attend the in-person roundtable discussions, we still want to hear from you. Please share your vision on creating a strong and resilient public education for Alberta’s children and youth. Share your thoughts here.
In addition to the four (4) in-person roundtable events, ATA locals, school councils and other supporters of public education will be hosting their own roundtable events in cities and towns across the province. The following materials are available to support any groups that want to host a roundtable event:
